You can resume normal daily activities after 2 weeks and can start exercising after 4-6 weeks. Although you will notice an immediate improvement in your figure, the final result will be evident 6-12 months after yourtummy tuck when all the swelling has resolved.

It is not safe to operate on you if you are a smoker. I insist that my tummy tuck patients stop smoking at least one month prior to and for one month after surgery. Smoking greatly increases the risk of anesthesia and impedes healing after a tummy tuck.
