Before you undergo Nose Reshaping, I will meet with you to discuss what you like, and don't like, about your nose. I have many different techniques to correct a variety of nasal problems. Rhinoplasty is performed under general anesthesia. I allow most of my patients to go home the same day. I utilize both open (a small incision is made at the base of the nose) and closed (all incisions are inside the nose) techniques, depending on the amount and type of correction needed. You should expect swelling and bruising of the nose and eye area after your nose reshaping procedure. You will need to wear a splint for the week following your rhinoplasty. Mild pain is common after surgery, but is easily controlled with prescription pain medicine. You will be able to return to work and your normal daily routine in one week. The procedure I will use for your nose reshaping depends on your nasal bone structure and the concerns that you are having. No two patients have exactly the same procedure. During our consultation I will examine you and discuss your needs in order to customize surgery to meet your goals.
I frequently perform rhinoplasty in conjunction with other cosmetic facial procedures. Many of my patients request nose reshaping along with a facelift, brow lift, skin resurfacing and/or liposuction. Combining procedures gives my patients the advantage of total facial rejuvenation during one surgery.
